Why 99% Isopropyl Alcohol is Best for Cleaning Quartz

While it might seem counterintuitive, 99% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) is actually the superior choice for cleaning quartz compared to lower concentrations like 91% or 70%. Here's why:

• Faster Evaporation: The higher concentration evaporates more quickly, leaving fewer streaks or residue behind. This means you can use your quartz surface sooner. 
• Stronger Solvent: 99% IPA is a more potent solvent, effectively cutting through grease, grime, and other stubborn substances without damaging the quartz.
• Better for Sensitive Electronics: If you use your quartz surface for electronics, 99% IPA is less likely to cause damage due to its rapid evaporation and lower water content.

It's important to note: While 99% IPA is excellent for cleaning, it's not necessarily the best choice for disinfecting. Lower concentrations, around 70%, are often more effective at killing germs due to their slower evaporation time.  

For cleaning quartz surfaces, however, 99% isopropyl alcohol offers the best results in terms of speed, effectiveness, and preventing damage.
